One-Piece Swimsuits

A one piece does one thing a two piece cannot: it holds its shape across the middle when you move. That is why almost every suit here mentions tummy control or ruching, and why the fabric line matters more than in any other department.

Ruching is not decoration. Gathered fabric across the front hides the line where a flat panel would pull, and it is the difference between a suit you adjust once and a suit you adjust all afternoon.

Straps decide the rest. Adjustable ones let a long torso work, and fixed ones do not, and no amount of size choosing fixes that. Where a suit has adjustable straps we say so on its page.

None of these are competition suits. They are cut for a pool, a beach and a boat, not for a lap swimmer counting seconds.
