Dresses and Skirts

This is the smallest department here and the least mixed. Most of it is athletic: pleated tennis dresses with shorts built in underneath, which is the only reason anyone plays in a dress at all.

The built in shorts carry a ball, which decides the whole purchase for anyone who serves. Where a dress has a pocket in the liner, its page lists it.

The rest is a handful of casual dresses in ordinary knits, kept here rather than spread thin across a department of their own.

None of these are formal. They are day dresses and court dresses, and we would rather say that than let a photograph suggest otherwise.
